Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is an American animal rights activist, author, model and actor. She is renowned for her movies such as Love Story (1970) Goodbye Columbus (1969) as well as The Getaway (1972). When she was in New York, she was born and raised into an creative family. Her first job was as a photo assistant later moved into acting and modeling. In her first two films she received recognition and was awarded the Golden Globe Award as Most Promising Young Actress. Her film MacGraw's Love Story from 1970 was one of the biggest hits that gained her fame worldwide and also an Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe Award. With just three movies she was the highest-rated female box office actress in the entire world. At Grauman's Chinese Theater in the year 1972, she got her handprints and signature engraved. Her other credits include The Getaway Convoy Players, television miniseries The Winds of War and others. The autobiography of MacGraw Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw has been married 3 times.
